I am calling submission of sitemaps necessary because it is ! Usually we submit sitemaps to search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo. After submitting our blog's sitemap to these search engines, their crawlers come to our blog to index it. After the indexation of our blog gets completed, our blog gets visible in the Search Engine Results, from where a huge traffic lands to our blog. So, its necessary to submit a sitemap to search engines and without you can't proceed in the journey of blogging.

How To Submit Blogger Sitemap To Bing And Yahoo ?

Its very simple and easy, We are pretty sure you will do it successfully. As, we already told you that Bing and Yahoo are connected with each other so, we only have to submit sitemap to Bing and Yahoo will take that sitemap from Bing automatically so, nothing is for you to worry about. First we will verify our blog in Bing Webmaster Tools and than we will submit our sitemap to it. So, lets go for it 
  • Go to Bing Webmaster Tools >> Sing in (Create if you don't have one)
  • There will be an option My Site at the top right corner, enter your blog URL there and click on Add to proceed.

  • In the Add a Sitemap box, paste the following code

  • Note : Above code is for 500 posts. If you have published more than 500 posts than chose the appropriate code from below

For 500 To 1000 Posts :
http://www.yoursite.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=500&max-results=1000
For 1000 To 1500 Posts :
http://www.yoursite.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1000&max-results=1500
For 1500 to 2000 Posts :
http://www.yoursite.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1500&max-results=2000
  • After adding the appropriate code from above, replace the yellow highlighted link with your blog's URL.
  • After that, click on Add button.
  •  Now, after clicking the Add button you will be asked to verify ownership of your blog.
  • There, you will see a meta tag, copy it.

  • Open new tab in your browser (Don't close the previous one) and go to Blogger.
  • Template >> Edit HTML >> Find <head>
  • Paste the meta tag below <head>, which you copied in above steps.
  • Click on Save Template.
  • Now, come back to the previous Bing Webmaster Tools tab and click on Verify.

  • Your blog's sitemap is submitted successfully. You can see in the dashboard That Sitemap status is pending.

  • You have to wait at least a week to get your blog indexed. So, keep calm !

Verifying Your Blog In Google Webmaster Tools

First you should have to go to the Google Webmaster Tools. Log in there using your Blogger account, and you will see your blog name listed there automatically because this tools is also owned by Google Team, so for better service it automatically adds your blogs in the list. After that follow the simple steps below :
  • Go to Webmaster Tools Homepage >> Look For Your Blog Name
  • Click Manage Site on the right side and than click on Add or remove users.

  • Next, click Manage Site Owners and go to Verify Using Different Method.
  • Tick mark, HTML Tag.
  • A meta tag will appear, copy it.

  • Open a new tab in your browser. (Note : Don't close webmasters tool tab)
  • Go to Blogger >> Template >> Edit HTML.
  • Search for <head> and paste that meta tag which you copied in the above steps below the <head>.
  • Click Save Template.
  • Open the webmaster tools tab and click on Verify at the bottom of the page.

  • After clicking the Verify button, you will see a congratulations message that you have successfully verified your blog in Google Webmaster Tools. Now, lets jump to the next step and that is submitting your blog's sitemap to Google.

Submitting your blog sitemap is also very easy. Just follow the below steps correctly and you will do it.
  • Go to Google Webmaster Tools, click on the name of your blog.
  • Next, there will be an option Sitemaps, click on it.

  • You will be redirected to another page, on the top right of that page, there will be an option Add/Test Sitemap. Click on that option. A popup will appear.

  • Disallow: /search?q=*: This command tells the search engine crawlers that they should not index the search pages.
  • Disallow: /*?updated-max=*: This command tells the crawlers, not to index the label pages.
  • Allow: /: This command tells the crawlers to index the homepage of your blog.
  • Sitemap: This command tells the crawler to index each and every new post on your blog.
